Germantown, WI – The Germantown Community Library continues to provide vital services to residents of Germantown, Richfield, Jackson and surrounding communities. Serving over 35,000 residents, the library checked out over 356,000 items to patrons in 2025. The 2025 Annual Report was presented at the Village of Germantown Board meeting on Monday, February 2, 2026 by Trisha Smith, Library Director.
Whether attending storytime or a craft program, reading the newspaper, accessing an online class or checking out the latest best-selling novel, the library has something for everyone and usage continues to grow. The library saw over 111,000 visitors to the building last year – an all-time high and an 8% increase from 2025. Program attendance also grew by 40% to 27,000 total attendees at 741 programs.
A few highlights of 2025 include:
Returning to normal library operating hours in January
New programs added including additional storytime sessions, Meet Your Neighbor Storytime, Lego @ the Library and monthly programs for tweens (ages 9-12)
