MTCE Scholarship Applications Being Accepted
Careers in Manufacturing and the Trades
Germantown, WI: The Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking applications for the MTCE (Manufacturing Trade Career Expo) Scholarship by students intending to pursue an education in manufacturing and/or the trades. This scholarship is open to students residing within the Germantown school district boundaries, who will be graduating high school spring 2025 from Germantown High School or another education facility.
Funds for the scholarships come from the Manufacturing & Trade Career Expo which is an annual event produced in partnership by the Germantown Chamber and The Chamber of Greater Menomonee Falls & Sussex since 2009. Its mission is to assist in the development of a future workforce by raising student and parent awareness of the businesses and career opportunities in the local manufacturing and trade industries and the educational pathways.
The 2024 expo included local exhibitors such as Gehl Food & Beverage, J. W. Speaker Corporation, David J. Frank Landscape Contracting, MGS Mfg. Group, Felins, Inc., Illing Packaging, Dielectric Manufacturing, Nicolet Plastics, Kapco and Advanced Coatings, Inc., Krier Foods, RAM Tool, Caliber Collision, GenMet Corp., Glenroy, Inc., Willer Tool, Columbus McKinnon Corp., Signicast, Quest Engineering, Sussex IM, and many more. In addition, post-secondary schools including MATC, MPTC, WCTC, Fox Valley Tech and the Tool, Die & Machining Association of Wisconsin were present to talk to students about education during and after high school.
Since the beginning, over $80,000 has been raised toward scholarships and awarded within the three school districts represented by the organizing chambers: Germantown, Menomonee Falls and Sussex.
