Leadership Germantown Class of 2025 Community Projects
Germantown: The year 2025 brings some milestones for The Leadership Germantown program as this year we will be graduating the 24th class and celebrating our 25th year. There have been over 350 graduates from the program coming from over 100 different businesses or organizations in the Germantown area. We appreciate our dedicated businesses and organizations who have sent employees or representatives to the program routinely throughout the years. If you are an alumni, we encourage you to reconnect with the program at a few of our alumni focused events throughout the year which get promoted through the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce.
Part of the Leadership year consists of the class working on projects to support local non-profits. We are happy to share the three projects that Leadership Germantown Class of 2025 are working on. Please reach out to the contacts listed or executivedirector@germantownchamber.org if you would like to help support their project.
FRIENDS, Inc
The Friends of FRIENDS project group is working to collect supplies for FRIENDS, Inc, Washington County’s sole provider of shelter and support services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Their supply drive will be Saturday, April 5, 11AM-3PM at Shorewest Realtors in Germantown. A drop box is also located at Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce until April 7 for those that cannot make the supply drive. For sponsorship information or to donate please contact friends.of.friends53022@gmail.com
Friends of Germantown K9
Team Spark of Valor has chosen to work with the Germantown K9 Fundraising Organization for their community project. The Organization plays a vital role in supporting our local police K9 unit, ensuring these highly trained dogs have the resources they need to keep our community safe. These resources are dependent on community support and donations.
Spark of Valor will be hosting Bingo for K9s at Village Bowl in Menomonee Falls on March 29th, 2025, 4-8 pm.
Join us for a night of bingo, raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, and more! All proceeds will go directly to the Germantown K9 Fundraising Organization. Can’t make it but still want to contribute a donation? Reach out to kelsey.lofberg@dielectricmfg.com to make arrangements.
Firemen’s Park Veterans Memorial
The Germantown Area Veterans Memorial, dedicated on Veterans Day in 2006, is a tribute to Veterans of all service branches who have honorably served or are now serving their country from the War of 1812 to present. The Honor Brigade, a Leadership Germantown Class of 2025 Team, has elected to raise funds to make updates and improvements to the grounds of the Germantown Area Veterans Memorial. Currently, the walkways to the Memorial are gravel, which makes it difficult for visitors to attend the ceremonies that take place on Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, or to simply visit the site. The Honor Brigade’s Wheelchair Accessibility Project will replace the gravel walkways and seating areas with concrete and make the Memorial grounds ADA compliant for all to enjoy.
Fundraisers have been planned with area restaurants donating a percentage of their sales on specific dates and a Bingo fundraiser is planned for Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Germantown American Legion Post. If you would like to contribute a monetary donation or tangible items to be used for Bingo prizes, or to volunteer at our Bingo fundraiser, please contact Amy Keller at 262-573-3100 or mail your contribution payable to: Germantown Area Veterans Memorial, ATTN Wheelchair Accessibility Project, PO Box 321, Germantown, WI 53022.
Each Leadership Germantown session and project strive to hit on all the following objectives of our program.
