Leadership Germantown Class of 2026 Unveil Their Projects
Germantown: The Leadership Germantown Class of 2026 is now deep into their school year and working on their class projects to support local non-profits. We are happy to share the three projects that Leadership Germantown Class of 2026 is currently working on. Please reach out to the contacts listed or executivedirector@germantownchamber.org if you would like to help support their project.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washington County
The Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) team is raising awareness in Germantown to connect caring mentors (Bigs) with local youth (Littles). More children are waiting than there are Bigs ready to step forward. Becoming a Big does not require a specific background. Anyone 16 or older who works or lives in Washington County is willing to show up, from students to retirees, can make a difference.
The team, made up of representatives from the Germantown Police Department, Westbury Bank, Germantown School District, Gehl Food & Beverage, and Belle Salon, will host the “Be a Germantown Big for a Day” community tailgate on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Firemen’s Park. Community members are invited to experience mentoring through hands-on activities and games in a fun, welcoming environment. No long-term commitment is required.
Volunteers will be entered for a chance to receive complimentary Milwaukee Brewers tickets. RSVPs are encouraged at caitline@bbbswashco.org by Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Friends of Germantown K9
Team K9 is working with the Germantown K9 Fundraising Organization for their community project of providing funds to retrofit a new police cruiser for a K9 officer.
The project group which consists of members from the Germantown Park & Rec, Gehl Food & Beverage, Germantown School District, Germantown Fire Department & Manitou Group are organizing multiple fundraiser events including March 14 at The Hounds & Tap in Menomonee Falls and on April 25 at Stix Golf. More information will be available on the Chamber of Commerce events calendar, we invite you to attend, have fun and support the K9s!
Germantown School District
Team GT Schools project supports the Germantown School district by focusing on providing school supplies for students in need. The team's goal is to raise $5,000 which will provide school supplies for approximately 200 students.
The project group which consists of members from Germantown Police Department, Germantown Village Hall, Gehl Food & Beverage and TriCity National Bank have organized a month-long drive in February to collect as many essential school supplies as possible. In addition to the generous Germantown community donations, they are reaching out to local businesses throughout the area to request essential school supply contributions and/or monetary donations. All funds received will go directly towards purchasing necessary school supplies for students.
Each Leadership Germantown session and project strive to hit on all the following objectives of our program.
